He was seen as the Buckeyes’ basketball game on Saturday with Dwayne Haskins.Fields, a former top recruit, is expected to petition the NCAA to gain immediate eligibility for the 2019 season.Of course, many Ohio State fans are wondering what this means for Tate Martell. The redshirt freshman quarterback had made it clear that he wasn’t transferring ahead of the 2019 season and he plans on winning the starting job. Most believe that starting job will go to Fields, assuming he’s eligible, but don’t be surprised if Martell is able to hold him off.Longtime Ohio State insider Tim May tweeted the following about Martell on Saturday:“All I’m saying is don’t sleep on @TheTateMartell . This spring in @OhioStateFB promises to be even more meaningful than last spring in terms of the QB position,” he tweeted. All I’m saying is don’t sleep on @TheTateMartell .
