QF EK deal to boost Seychelles visitors

first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: N.J The new Qantas and Emirates partnership last week could see an increase in tourism between Australia and the Seychelles, according to Desroches Island director of sales and marketing Demeiter Vaubell.Speaking at the Luxperience showcase in Sydney yesterday, Ms Vaubell explained the new agreement would open the Seychelles up to the Australian market via the UAE-based carrier.“The partnership that will launch in 2013, will really open the Middle East and the Seychelles up to Australia,” she said.“At the moment it is slow but it will really pick up.”Ms Vaubell added that travellers would also love the Desroches Island because of its no-visa policy, allowing Aussies making a stopover in Dubai before hopping over to the region without applying for entry.Late last week Qantas and Emirates also announced the adoption of a new chauffer service for its business and first class passengers.last_img
