On October 8 Capcom is set to offer PS3 owners a pretty sweet deal in the form of the Capcom Essentials game pack. Unfortunately, Capcom hasn’t been able to officially announce the pack themselves as EB Games Canada has jumped the gun and listed it on their website.Capcom Essentials brings together five Capcom games, including:Dead Rising 2Devil May Cry 4MegaMan 10Resident Evil 6Super Street Fighter IVThe best bit? It only costs $59.99. What we don’t know yet is whether Capcom has created new packaging for the bundle, with 5 discs in a single pack, or instead just decided to put a cardboard sleeve around 5 PS3 cases. It’s more cost effective to make a special pack and use less plastic and paper, but then Essentials may be a clever way to get rid of existing stock quickly. If you own one or more of these games then the pack may still be worth picking up depending on the trade in value of each title. And that trade in value is probably going to drop sharply once the Essentials pack is out as loads of people will have a game or two they want to trade. As is the case with the introduction of every new generation of console hardware, gamers can expect to get some pretty sweet deals on current gen titles. I doubt this will be the last multi-game offer we see as the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One draws ever closer.
